Turck Banner’s newly launched Q76E wide-range retro-reflective sensor is designed to detect objects with irregular edges and complex packaging. The Q76E identifies the leading edge of composite materials, enabling reliable detection of even irregularly shaped items—including shrink-wrapped products, plastic bags, and perforated or bubble-wrap packaging. It offers selectable sensitivity levels to detect very small objects up to 8 mm thick.

Each sensor produces a large, highly visible red light spot for easy alignment and features bright LEDs for clear visual status indication.
The new device boasts a sensing range of up to 4 meters and delivers exceptional installation flexibility thanks to polarized retro-reflection technology. This allows the sensor to be used with a reflector—significantly reducing installation time while saving space and wiring costs. With a high switching frequency of 250 Hz, it is ideally suited for high-speed production lines.
Equipped with IO-Link, the Q76E supports advanced data transmission systems—making it ideal for pallet and material handling in warehouses, as well as inbound and outbound logistics systems. IO-Link enhances data availability, simplifies configuration and remote monitoring, and streamlines device replacement.
