According to CCTV Finance, domestic industrial robot sales have maintained a growth trend this year. Despite rising raw material costs for various industrial robot components, prices have actually decreased. A factory manager told reporters that he purchased domestically-made collaborative robots at less than half the price of foreign robots.
Industry insiders analyze that despite rising raw material costs, industrial robot prices could still decrease this year primarily because domestic industrial robot sales have shown significant growth since last year's second half.
Additionally, an increasing number of domestic enterprises are entering the industrial robot sector, while foreign industrial robot companies are also expanding their production capacity in China, intensifying market competition. Meanwhile, as downstream application fields for industrial robots gradually broaden, the incremental market space for domestic industrial robots is vast.
The latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that from January to July 2021, domestic industrial robot production reached 205,094 units, growing 64.6% year-on-year.
