Automatic Tape Case Sealer Sealing Process
After products are boxed, the cartons are conveyed into the case sealer via a conveyor chain (belt, or roller) and handed over to the carton conveying mechanism. The carton sides are gripped by conveying belts and moved forward. The front flap is automatically bent by a pressure flap mechanism. When the carton enters the sealer's roller bed, a detection signal (photoelectric signal) triggers the rear flap cylinder to actuate, folding the rear flap with the tucking mechanism (for hot melt glue sealers, the glue machine automatically sprays adhesive). The carton continues moving forward; the left and right long flaps automatically fold inward toward the center via guide rods. Simultaneously, the case pressing belt synchronously presses the left and right long flaps, and the tape head automatically seals the box, bonding the box and flaps together to complete the sealing and shaping process.
Installation and Operation Precautions for Automatic Tape Case Sealers:
1. First, place the case sealer on a level surface, lock the brake casters, and adjust the feet to the appropriate height to ensure the machine base is level.
2. Place the carton to be sealed on the conveyor table (automatic case sealer requires corresponding adjustments):
A. Adjust the lifting handle so that the bottom plane of the upper tape head seat is approximately 3-5mm lower than the height of the carton;
B. Loosen the locking handwheel, adjust the conveying pinch rollers to snugly fit the carton, and then tighten the locking handwheel;
C. Adjust the carton positioning wheels so that both the positioning wheels and the conveying pinch rollers snugly fit the carton, then tighten the locking handwheel.
3. Turn on the power switch to operate the machine, then push in the carton for sealing. If the tape tension on the top and bottom is inconsistent, adjust the knob on the tape spindle holder (generally, if the tape is too tight, loosen the spring pressure; if the tape is too loose, increase the spring pressure).
4. If the tape lengths on both ends of the sealed carton are inconsistent, adjust the cutter blade in the tape head (generally, if the head is long and the tail is short, adjust the cutter blade by loosening the locking screw, moving the cutter outward slightly, and retightening the screw. Conversely, if the head is short and the tail is long, move the cutter inward slightly).
Tape Selection and Usage Precautions for Automatic Tape Case Sealers:
Tape is one of the consumables used in conjunction with tape case sealers, and its size directly affects whether the sealer can function properly.
1. Tape roll inner diameter: The inner diameter determines whether the tape can be fixed onto the sealer. Under normal circumstances, the applicable inner diameter for tape rolls on case sealers is 76mm, within a tolerance of ±5mm.
2. Tape roll outer diameter: Generally, standard tape purchased on the market is relatively small, but tape used in factories is generally larger to reduce the frequency of tape changes.
3. Tape width: Actually, the tape width is determined by the sealer's cutting blade. The blade must be wider than the tape to cut it effectively. Generally, standard tape case sealers have cutting blades suitable for tape widths of 48-75mm.
