  Causes and Solutions for Stringing on Hot Melt Glue Case Erectors, Case Sealers, and Spray Guns:

  ■ Glue viscosity too high 

  Solution: Increase temperature or replace with suitable hot melt adhesive

  ■ Operating temperature too low

  Solution: Increase operating temperature

  ■ Nozzle too far from the workpiece

  Solution: Reduce the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece

  ■ Spray gun operation speed too slow

  Solution: Inspect and replace the spray gun and solenoid valve

  ■ Hot melt adhesive degraded

  Solution: Avoid keeping the hot melt adhesive heated for extended periods without use

  ■ Spray gun needle wear

  Solution: Repair or replace the spray head
